Science Processes

Why do you think that it is so important that scientists follow the processes when they are experimenting? Is it something that all scientists do all the time? If not, why?

Please include some of the processes when you are answering.

Please remember to you professional language and that your post should be a minimum of 5-7 sentences in length.

  1. I think it is important that scientists follow the processes when they are experimenting because it helps them figure out the experiment.I don't think scientists always follow the processes because it takes a long time to do all the processes. The scientists also might think they don't need all the processes. Scientists might think they don't need all the processes but they probably do. I think they should use all the processes, just in case.

  2. Because if they leave out a processes then the outcome of the experiment would be different. Not all scientists do this all the time because then it would not be an experiment.

  3. I think it is important for scientists to follow the scientific processes because it helps them figure out the experiment and what caused the experiment to have a different outcome if you use variables in the experiment. I don't think scientist always use all of the scientific processes because they might not need to use all of them in their experiment.

  4. I think processes are very important because you would need the right steps and procedures to do the experiment or it will possibly go wrong. Scientists should use them to help them with experiment. It will make it easier to do the experiment. You should also not change two procedures when your doing processes becuase you won't know what changed it and it could mess up your data and processes. I think scientists don't always use processes but most of the time they use all of them. I think they should just to make sure the experiment is going right and evrything went correct to make the experiment exact.

  5. I think it is very important for scientists to follow processes because it helps scientists find out what caused the experiment to have a different outcome but you should always change one procedure never two or more.Scientists should use scientific processesto make the experiment easier.I don't think scientists always use all scientific processes because every single experiment does not need all the scientific processes

  6. I think it is important that scientists use processes so that they don't leave out any piece of information they might need to find a solution to their experiment. I don't believe scientists always follow the same process-such as finding a cure for a disease, because using a new variable might lead to a better solution and possibly a cure.

  7. I think it is important for scientists to follow the processes because they want to know how they got their answer. They also might try lots of other processes to see if there is any change in the experiment. Following a process to ensure that no additional variables are added to the experiment. Not all scientists follow the processes to experiment. While doing an experiment some might change the process to get a different answer and some might use the same process in the experiment. For example in class we made a life boat and we put it in a tub of water and we experimented by trying to see how many pennies we could put in our boats until they would sink and we got lots of different answers because we used different processes in class.

  8. It's important to follow scientific processes because you never want to leave out info out of your expieriment or it won't turn out right. You should not change more procedures than one at a time because you don't want to mess up info or data.

  9. Scienyific processes are important for many reasons.Without a process an experiment would be like a house falling over it's own foundation.A scientific process keeps the experiment organized and a more acurate result. This also helps you answer questions like: what should my standard be? How many variables should I be able to change throughout this experiment?

  10. I think it is important that scientists follow the processes because if they get a brilliant idea, taking these steps helps them figure out what they are trying to do. Using a scientific process is like when a writer creates an outline for a book. Processes help scientists organize their thoughts. Some of the steps they take are: observing and collecting data, organizing data, predicting, hypothesizing, experimenting and analyzing data. I’m not sure, but I don’t think that all scientists follow process because some experiments are easier than others and may not require all these steps.

  11. I think it's important that scientist use processes because it helps them with an experiment. They also help organize the scientist's thoughts.Scientists don't use all of the processes because it might not be needed in the experiment.

  12. I think that it is very important that scientists follow the scientific processes because if they don't then thier experiment might not be correct. Also the processes help scientists understand why the variables that they used would have an impact on the experiment. When you are changing variables, be sure to only change one at a time. If you change more than one at a time you would not know what variables had an impact on your experiment and it would mess up your experiment. Out of all the scientific processes I think the most important processes are definitly observe, collect data, interpret data, identify and control variables, and investigate and experiment. Some people might think that those are the least important though. The process I think that scientists use the most is probably investigate and experiment. I do not think that all scientists use the scientific processes all the time because you do not need to follow all of the scientific processes all the time. I think most scientists follow as many processes as they need for each experiment. If I were to do an experiment that is exactly what I would do.

  13. I think it is important because the scientists can do their experiment in steps. You must have standard variables and change only one variable at a time. Some important processes might be observing collecting data and interpreting data.

  14. I think it's important for scientists to follow procesess because then they can help them figure out the outcome of the expirements. With out the procesess we be able to have outcomes or we wouldn't be able to figure them out. Yes all scientists should use procesess because it would help them figure out the outcome. Even with the most simple expirement you will still have an outcome which means you should follow the procesess. We did the swingers in class and we still folowed a proceses. The proceses help us figure out the outcome. So yes i think every scientist should use a proceses.

  15. I think it is important to follow there process because then if they didn't follow the experiment it either would go wrong or even worse. Sometimes they think they don't need anything from the process so then they take it out. Then it could explode or bubble up and do all sorts of things.I also think that they should have process's because they can be able to figure out their outcomes. We also did the swingers and we had to do step by step and that is what you call a process. So every experiment needs a process. What if they didn't have a process? Well any ways i think that would kinda weird if there weren't.

  16. I think it is important that scientists follow the processes when they are experimenting because if the don't they might make a mistake. If they need to explain it to someone they can explain it with the details of the instructions that they followed.
