Kindness Counts at DTES
What does our motto, "Kindness Counts at DTES" mean to you?
What will you do this year to promote this pledge?
I think it means to be kind and to include others. I also think it means to not be mean to people and to not be a bystander. Be a standbyer, not a bystander. Jack Bowser
Our motto kindness counts at the DTES means to me that kindness matters and we should be kind to everyone. It really does matter. It shouldn't matter to just to a few people it should matter to everyone. To promote this pledge this year I'm going to be kind. I also wont bully.
The motto means to me that everyone at Desert Trails should be kind, and nice to everyone. I also think it means that kindness is a big part of our school ant that it counts very much. This year I will promote the pledge by being nice and kind to everyone by helping them. Everyone should be kind and NOT bully everybody and if someone is being bullied then they should be a stand buyer
The motto means that there should be no bullying at Desert Trails. Also every one should be kind, nice, caring to every one no matter how there different from yourself. Whatever grade you are in there should be no bullying. Everybody should pledge to be kind to every one and bully free.
I think the motto means respect others, treat the way you want to be treated, include and help others. Our plede was to be bully free, to care about others safety and well-being. I think the motto means alot to every kid with differt pledges.
I think the motto means that you should always be kind. You should never bully someone because maybe someday you could get bullied a lot. I think you should always be a standbyer. NOT a bystander. And you should never exclude others.
I think the motto, Kindness Counts at DTES, stands for our school. Nobody has the right to bully you for any reason. And if people are standing by or noticing the bulling they should step up and ask them to leave the person who got bullied alone. What I'll do to promote our pledge this year is to be on the look-out for bullies and if my friends and I do disagree then be respectful toward them.

Kindness counts at dtes means that we are kind to each other and that we will not bully. It also means that we will follow the golden rule and treat others the way we want to be treated. If someone is coming to this school for the first time, we will treat them fairly and not bully them. A way we can improve our kindness here is to do lunch buddys everyday. If we can do that we will know more people and can make more friends, find things we have in common, maybe have a new friend at to play with at recess. If we see our buddys every week then we can help them learn and we can get to no people who may be coming to school here then we will know some more people. We can do so many things to be MORE kind if we just make some simple adjustments. ~ANNIE~
What the motto means to me is the you should treat people the way you want to be treated. Which means that you should not be mean and you should not bully others. If you see bullying you should not hesitate to do something. What you should do if you see bullying you should try to stop it. If you are the one that is getting bulled and it doesn't stop tell your teacher or adult at school that I have been bulled and you can write a sheet that can get them in trouble. The sheet says that if the bullying keeps on bullying you you can write them up 3 times and they can go to the principle.

Hi miss Preston! The motto means a lot to me and i would think everyone should do the right things. This year to promote the pledge i will respect other people and i will do nice things foe everyone and i will do my owen personal best for my teacher and everyone that counts.
I think the motto Kindness Counts at DTES means everyone should be included and nobody should feel left out! The motto means to me also that everyone should be kind just because it feels good when other people are kind to you! So if it feels good when others are kind to you why should anyone go against it and be mean and make everyone feel bad? Being kind can also benefit everyone! Being kind to others = :) happiness for everyone!! That is what kindness means to me and, why I will be kind to others!
Dear Miss Preston, Kindness counts at DTES means lots to me. I feel no one should be bullied, or teased. This year to promote DTES motto, I will not bully, tease, or be mean to anyone. I will try my hardest to follow the motto. I will respect others and be fair. I am so excited to share kindness with D.T.E.S.!!

I think our motto means that kindness matters to the staff and students at our school. Everyone should be kind to the students and teachers. To me it means everyone deserves a chance to make and have friends. Also, never disclude anyone it might make people feel discouraged and left out. I think that everyone deserves a fresh start and new friends. If you're friends with somebody that's a bully don't defend them because they're doing the wrong thing. If you're friends with the victum tell a teacher or dudiade that you're friend is getting bullied.

It lso means to treat people they way YOU would like to be treated, amd never forget that this includes your teachers for they are teaching you and you sould respect that you have such a wonderful teacher (whom ever it is.) It means alot cause we should work together as a team. My pleadge is we help each other if needed to. we could not be a bully. If your a bistanderd then you tell someone or you stand up to the bully. ~Ciaran McIntyre~
