Why do you think that it is important that we still celebrate MLK Day?
Why does his speech that he gave over 40 years ago still have meaning to us today? Why is it important that we keep it in mind that we can settle disagreements with words and not violence?
What can you do to help spread peace in your family, neighborhood, at school or anywhere else?
The most important thig is that African-Americans get treated the way white people do. It means that black people still have freedom. To not fight and get along better. you can help people by doing chores at your house. You also can be a stand byer at school.

We Still believe its important to us today because the speech was so African-Americans should be treated the way white people are. It lets us all have freedom. We need to treat each other with respect; not fight all the time. Martain Luther King really made a difference to our county. He "turned our world upside down".

MLK was a very important man. The reason he's so important is because he changed the world into thinking that racism is wrong (and it is)! If he didn't do that, then people would still think that racism is right. He was also very remarkable for using words, not violence. That is why I think he is well known. Dr. King knew that his life was in danger, but he kept speaking. MLK didn't stop because he needed to change and help America (like Nathan Hale did). You can spread peace anywhere by doing anything kind, to anyone.

I think it is still important that we all celebrate MLK day. Why because we all still have a dream and we all want white people and afracian american people to treat each o ther the same! Also we shold respect what he says because we all have freedom!

I think that MLK day is an important day for everyone. As Summer said everyone has a dream to make the world better. MLK Jr was a fantastic speaker and that's why his speech is so empowering. To make his dream happen we all HAVE to respect each other no matter what. Just by making friends you'll carry on everthing Martin said.

I think MLK day is important because it helps us remember a breakthrough in American history. Why does it make us different by the color of our skin?? We are all human, it doesn't matter if our skin stands out with people. It's good that we settle our differences with words not with violence because if everyone used violence.... what would our world be?? It would be pure chaos. No hate, just love. The reason why Martin Luther King day is important is because he did alot of important things for America. The reason that Martin Luther King's talk is important is that he helped make white people and black people equal. A good reason why Martin Luther King was a good person is because he used words instead of violence. I can help make peace by treating people equal and being nice to different people. That is what I think of Martin Luther King day.

i think we don't celebrate the day but the man and what he did. His speech gave us a way to settle are differences. and it is important to keep him in mind is cause he gave us a push that said all shooed be created equal. And i think this day is important that we remember this day.

The reason we should be celebrating is birthday because he had a speech for all men and women to be created equal. I f we did use violence we would probaly all be fighting and boycotting about colored people and white people. I can spread peace by sharing my pencils at school if anyone didn't have any.

I think that MLK day is important because it resembles the man who brought freedom to all people. Martian Luther Kings speech has meaning to us still because we still follow what he said, by treating all people equal. It's good that we settle our disagreements with words not with violence because think about how much war would be going on right now... it is kind of scary right. I can help spread peace by giving a smile or complement to everyone I see.

His speech still has meaning because everyone no matter what color skin you have can go to the same movie theater, drink out of the same fountain, and sit on the seat you want to sit on in the bus. Martin Luther King Jr is a very great man and he is he man who gave right to all people.

I think the most important part of MLK day is that African Americans get their freedom and have the same rights as whites. Just because your skin is a different color doesn't mean you have to be a servant. You can help your neighborhood by helping with yard work, or other tasks if you are white, or any other race. Just because you are a different race doesn't mean you are any less of a person. All men were created equal!

I think MLK is important because he changed the way we looked at people. What he said changed the US. I think he's right. You don't judge people by their skin but by their personality and what they do. Like how I did once but let's not get into details. He changed the world and I believe we should do the same.

It still takes a huge dip for today . Altough his non violince thing it does not take a huge dip for today .

I think it's important to celebrate MLK day because he was a person people admired. He helped to make our country one, not seperating us into white and blacks. What I can do to help peace be spread is to help people out when I can. I can try to stop bullying, too. I don't think that it's right to judge people without even meeting them, just by the color of their skin. Martin was a hero, and we should all set out to be like him.

MLK day is so important because he showed that it doesn't matter what race you are. He made it so whites and blacks can do anything together because you are still the same even if you are black. He had a dream to change the world which came true. His speech ended racism. I can help spread peace by doing my chores and helping my family with everything. That is why MLK day is important.

The speech he told everyone 40 years ago is still important to us now because now black people and white people can play and go to the same school. It is important to remember what Martin said because it is very important to everyone. You can spread peace to your community and any where else by reminding people that you can go any where no matter what your skin color is.
