This Friday, we have the day off. If you haven't realized, it is because Friday is Veteran's Day. Please write about why it is important to have the day off? Why should we be respectful for those that have served in the military? Why is it important to show the military why we are thankful for them and what they have done? What is something that you think that we should or could do to show the military that we appreciate them?
Remember that it should be at least 5 sentences in length.
I think it is important for us to have the day off because, it is respectful to honor our troops who have left there family, went over seas, and risked their lives. We should take this day to say thank you. We should be respectful to the troops because, even if they are not succesful, they risked their life to help US. It is disrespectful to not honor all of the people who are over seas because, they are really trying hard. We should all be thinking about these things.

I think that it is great to have the day off because we might of had a family member, aunt, uncle or whoever that was in the army. I think we should be respectful for those who do so much for our contry because if they didn't fight we wouldn't have a contry like we do today. Sometimes people die because they are fighting for our contry. I think it is important to thank them because as I said,"Some of them die." I think a way we can show a appreciation by: wrighting them a letter, sending supplies, and other things that might be helpful.

I think it's great to take the day off because that day is important to most citizens and kind of even me. The only reason we take this day off is because a bunch of people have left their families to protect us from harm. Many men and women have died for us because they care about us. This day is kind of like friends dsy Wednesday because we appreseat what we have done for each other. Most kids are like yay we get the day off, but its not like that we hommor are family, friends, and people we don't know because they have woked hard, and we gave them are trust, and they fought for us so this is why we take that day off. Some day you could be fighting for us and we would honnor you to show respect. That is why we take the day off.

I think it is important to thank our military to show them we appreciate them because they have gone everywhere and even left there families and took the chance of dieing to protect us. I think we should respect them because it wouldn't be the same place without them. It is important to show the military why we are thankful for them and what they have done because they risked there lives to serve the country. Something that I think that we should or could do to show the military that we appreciate them is to send them care packages with food, water, suplies, and a lap top that has a camera so they can video chat with their families. Veteran's Day is also a day to remember all who have died who have taken a chance to protect us.

It is important that we be respectful and thankful for them because they put there lifes at risk to get freedom. What we could do to show them our appreciation by having schools all over Arizona send them letters to comfort them if they dont have anyone at home to send them letters.

It is important to have the day off because it shows the veterans we have respect for them. For example, my grandpa served in world war ll. I have respected him forever and still do even though he passed away 2 weeks ago because of kidney failure. WE should be respectful because it would probably make the veterans feel special like they should. It’s important to show the military we are thankful for them serving because they will be proud and will maybe join the military again. We could probably make letters, gifts, and even throw a parade just for them! Please respect the military and also my grandpa for serving and have a great day!

It is important to have the day off on veterans day because we get time off to relax and think about our veterans, appreciate what they do for us, and support them. We should respectful to those who have served in the military because they have risked their lifes for us to protect us. It is important toshow the military that we are thankful for them and wht they do because without them, we wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully or win the wars. Also, some people don't realise that the men and women that serve in the military voulenteered to do this for us.something that we should do to show the military we appreciate them is to throw them all a big party in Washington D.C. and give them all really nice gifts and prizes and have a carnival with games, food, and fun for everyone. It is very important to have Veteran's Day off to honor Veterans. People in the military or who once were in the military are very brave to risk their lives to protect the U.S and we should be proud that we have citizens who are willing to risk their lives for us. We should be respectful to those who served and are serving in the military because they protected the United States. All people serving in the military work so hard because they take their job seriously. It is important to show the military why we are thankful for them and what they have done because it is a hard job to protect the U.S and they work super duper hard to protect us. Some things that we should or could do to show the military that we appreciate them are write them letters, thank them in person when we see them, and participate in the drives such as collecting holiday cards that go to our troops around the world. In Boys Scouts, we go to the Veteran cemetery on Memorial Day to put American flags on each grave to honor the fallen soldiers.

I believe it is important to have the day off because veterans risked their lives for us so we should do something in return for instance, everyone who has ever served in the military should get to have special discounts in restaurants. I am related to a lot of people who were in the military. My dad, cousin Jimmy, Uncle Steve, Grandpa, and Papa (my other grandpa). To show the military we appreciate them we should write a bunch of letters and poems and mail it to them. I did it with my cousins once and it was really fun.

I think that the old thing that we did years back was now a good idea. That old writing a letter to the soldiers. That is a good way to show the troops of that we appreciate what we did for them. I used to think that was just useless. Now I think it would work.
ReplyDeleteIt's important to take the day off to think about the men and women risking, their lives, leaving their family, and be in bad conditions for months and maybe years. If it wasn't for them, we might be under the rule of other countries. We should let them know we care for them by sending care packages to them or write letters to them because that will make them feel happy. I think we should spend the day thinking about all those people in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have risked their lives to protect us, so we need appreciate them.

I mean come on They are willing to die for you so can you just write a small letter to them saying I appreciate what you do? I Know I can because I did last year on Veterans Day. It is inportant because they put their lives at risk for their and our freedom. We could trow them a party in Washington DC to welcome them home. I think the reason why we take off Friday is because it's veteran's day. Veteran's day is to celebrate those who have lived through the war and are now at home. If you know someone who has been in the army, tomorrow, go spend the day with them because they risked every gun-shot that was fired wherever they were stationed. One of my friend's dad was in the army and now he's a veteran. I think Miss Preston's class should send a card to a veteran of their choice and thank them for fighting and then tell them that their lucky to be alive. THANKS TO THOSE WHO HAVE FOUGHT!
