Of the events that we have studied in class, which do you think had the most impact or the most importance in leading to the Revolutionary War? In other words, which event was the most important and why?
Make sure that you explain why you choose the event that you did and get all of us to understand your reasoning.

Some of the events included but are not limited to:

French & Indian War
Tea Act

Sons of Liberty
Daughters of Liberty
Committees of Correspondence

Stamp Act
Intolerable Acts

  1. The most important event I think that happened was The Boston Tea Party. I chose this one because it showed King George that we didn't want to pay the tax of the tea. Also, it showed him that we didn't like taxes at all it made us pay more money! I think that it was a great idea because people in our time would of probably done the same thing. People have to take risks in their life to prove their point.

  2. The most important event that leaded to the Revolutionary War was the Boston Tea Party. It is the Boston Tea Party because it made the king mad. Then the king taxed items.I think it was interesting that boys dressed as Indians and went on the ship, cut open the tea bags and pushed them into the ocean. That is why it is called the Boston Tea Party.

  3. I think the Boston Massacre was.a.big reason the war started because, they were fighting for their lives just so that London could leave.them alone. I think it was really terrible that 4 innocent people died, and 2 of them we didn't even know. King George really went too far on the taxes, and then we.have a huge massacre!!!!!!!!!! It wasn't fair for us because we had no say in this. I do think that it was amazing that 1,016 showed up for the people they didn't know. That is why I think that event led up to the war

  4. The event that I chose is the Boston Tea Party because it showed king Goerge that we didnt want to pay taxes on tea. We didnt want to have to pay extra money on things like tea. I am positive I would be a patriot because I wouldnt think it was fair at all.

  5. I think the event that had the most impact was the boston tea party. I think it made the colonists happy for a while. But there plan back fired and king george mad so they punished them by putting soldiers in there house to feed. Then the colonists were very mad.therefore the ports were closed and made the colonists very very very mad.

  6. The most important event that happend I think was the Bostin Tea party.I chose this event because I liked how we got to tell king George how we felt.I think that it was unfair that they ad to pay taxes for things that the can't help.If I had a chose if I wanted to tell king George how we felt I would but I would be very scared because what if he made us pay more taxes for protesting or what if killed us or took away are house.I am very thankful for what thoughs brave people did, I would hope if our coutry ever get in to a fight again like this whitch it won't I would hope we would do the same thing they did.

  7. I think the most impact was the Bosten Tea Party because that showed that the colonist were going to stand up to taxes. Anther reson is that they are showing that a person in a nother place can boss them around. One more reson that that I chouse this is because it was cool that they dressed up as indians.

  8. I think the Boston Massacre was the most important event because 4 people were killed. Some people were throwing rocks at these soldiers so the soldiers shot into the crowed and killed 4 people. The people who were killed were Samuel Gray, James Caldwell, Crispus Atucks, and Samuel Maverick were. More than half of the town came to their funeral. That is why I think this event was important.

  9. I think the Boston massacre leading to the Revolutionary War. I think the Boston massacre was important because that’s what got the king to punish the colonists. That punishment pushed the colonists over the edge and made the first continental congress. This ended the taxes. Tax day was ssssssssooooooo fun!!!!!!!!

  10. I think the most important event leading to the Revolutionary War was the Intolerable Acts because that's what really set off the Colonists. It made the colonists mad because they had to house soldiers and were expected to feed them. Also they closed the harbor and many people lost their jobs. They also lost a room in their house to someone they don't even know. The Colonists were the ones who started calling it the Intolerable Acts, not the British.

I think the most important was the Boston Massacre, because it really made the colonists mad.But King George's men thought they made the right decision by defending themselves. The men thought it was right because people were throwing rocks at the soldiers. But really there decision was wrong. It really it just made the colonists mad.

  13. I think it was the French and Indian war. That's what started all of that. It led to the taxes, the colonists being mad, King George being mad. It stopped the colonists from moving farther into the Apalachian Mountains. King George kept sending troops to help the French and Indian war and eventually made the colonists have to house and feed the troops.

  14. The most important I think was the Tea Act. I think the tea Act because the colonists had planed to get revenge on the British. What they did was they had dressed up as the Mohawk Indians. Then had went on to all of the ships, then dumped all of the tea into the harbor. After they thought they had done the best revenge.

  15. Hi everybody. Good subject Ms. Preston.I think the french and indian war had the biggest impact.
The most important was probily the proclamation of 1763, it was important because so that the indians could have there space. The colinests did not like it though.

  16. I read the comments before me, and I saw a lot of 'Boston Massacre'. Yes, there was death, shooting, blood, bam bam, "oh my gosh this must be the most impacted on the colonists", but I don't think that's what ticked off the colonists the most. Yes, the Proclamation did tick them off, I know, because I did that one. But, I think that the Intolerable Acts was the part that impacted the colonists the most, because, I would be SO MAD if King George sends over these British dudes AGAIN, close the harbor, make us keep these red suited weirdos in MY house, eat MY food, and sleep in MY bed. I would be so ticked off that (like I said in class) I would make a room for him in the basement, close the door, lock it, throw the key in my SECRET SAFE and leave the dude in there to starve to death. See, that's how I would take care of 'my assigned' soldier.

  17. I think the most important event was the Boston massacre.Think that because the colonists got angry. The soldiers fired into the crowd.because they were throwing rocks at them.4 people died and 2 of them we didn't know and more than half of the town went to the funeral.

  18. I think the most important event was the French and Indian War because it started the whole thing. It lead to the Proclamation of 1763 and on and on. I mean, it lead to taxing the Colonists to pay for the expenses of the war. Gosh and those soliders?! I would have crossed the line there!!!!!!

  19. The most important thing is the Intolerable Acts. I think it is the most important because I wouldn't want a red suit guy in my house. Feeding him and just giving up my bed? Why wouldn't I or the colonists just kill them in their sleep. If I was alive then I would just run away to the woods with my family and kids and not pay any taxes because no one would know where I lived. KING GEORGE MAKES ME SO MAD!!!!!!!

  20. The event that had the most impact is the Proclamation of 1763. It started the tension between Britain and the colonist. It really upset the colonist because the colonist really wanted to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. That proclamation line played an important part in that chain reaction because this is when the colonist started to get mad at Britain. The colonists got really mad at King George III because King George III didn't want the French and Indian War to continue. The land west of the Appalachian Mountains was inhabited by the Indians.

  21. The event that was most important was the Boston Massacre.Even though four people died and many people didn't know some of those four people they still went to all of their funerals. Those people had a reason to throw the rocks at the solders because those people where very very mad at king george. But those solders did not have to shoot those people. All of those people hated all of the taxing so that is why they threw the rocks at the solders

  22. I think that the french and indian war had the most impact because thats how it all started.
I also think that it is important because its how the colonists stayed in NorthAmerica in the first place. One of its main events was that Britain decided to start taxing the Colonists. Britain also said that the colonists couldnot go past the Appalation Mountains. The french and indian war was the begining of all of this.

  23. I think the most important event that lead to the Revolutionary War were the Intolerable Acts because the colonists had done so much protesting against King George and Britain, then random soldiers were ending up at their doorstep. King George had decided to have some British soldiers sent back to the colonies and had the colonists that care of them. That must have really set the colonists off their rockers because they were also being taxed for the most ridiculous things along with it. Then there was more protesting and then the next event came on.

  24. I think the French and Indian War had the most impact because it made the whole taxing and the Proclamation of 1763 happen. It was the most important because all of the taxing and fighting started at the French and Indian War. If this war never happened, I'm sure King George III and the colonists would either never known each other, or be friends. I wish the war never happened and the colonists didn't have to pay taxes. In conclusion, everyone would have been friends and no tea would ever be in the harbor.

  25. I thought daughters of liberty were the most important. Because they helped against the taxing. They made tea for the colonists so they didn't get taxed for the tea they bought. They made clothes for the colonists. That's why I think the daughters of liberty are important.
