The most exciting thing we've ever done this year was using chemicals in science and doing fun experiments! What blew my mind away was when we created the mixture of gravel, powder, and salt into water and we got everything back out! I didn't think it was possible that we could get the powder out because I thought we had nothing that could help us. What really amazed me was when we got the salt back because the salt dissolved into the water, so you would think that you couldn't get it back.
ReplyDeleteI think the most exciting thing that we have done was, Tax Day. Although I was a patriot, I still think that tax day was really fun. I think it was cool that we could live like the colonists did, that also leads to colonial day, that was really fun too. I think that all of 5th grade was an awesome year. I loved bottle rockets, I can think of a whole page of fun things. I am very sad that the school year is almost over. I love being with all of my friends, and making new ones too. Remember our very first blog way back in September?.....

I thought the one of the most exciting things we did this year was Tax Day. I would love to do it again! I also thought challenger was super fun! I wish we could do that again too!I hope we'll have just as much fun as we did this year next year!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the most exciting thing this year was Tax Day.even though I was a patriot. It was fun to see all the boys on the patriot side and them yelling. The best part about the day was I still had 20 SMARTIES left by silent reading.Tax Day was fun but also torturing at the same time, more fun.I feel bad for the colinests.what year did king George stop torturing them???I am sad i will not be here next year, If we have it again. :(

When I think back, I think of when I just met Miss Preston. I met her in fourth grade and immediately knew that I wanted her to be my teacher next year. Luckily when I came to check out my class, I got her, I was so excited! All this time went by and realized that she really was the best teacher I could have gotten. Some people might say that if I got Miss Wells or Mrs. Toenjes that I'd like them better but no. Miss Preston was there for me, when I was stuck, she'd help you with whatever it is. If she sees any kind of sad, hatred, or jealousy, she'd step up and ask what's wrong or what's bothering us. That is the best kind of teacher right there. Also, she's so smart, I feel like an average middle schooler next to Steven Hawking, not even joking. I really wish I can have Miss Preston next year, if not, i'll probably struggle in school, and I can tell you right now that that isn't good.

DeleteMy favorite part of this year was Tax Day. I didn't like it when I was late to science and I had to pay. I though it was funny that you had to pay to use the bathroom. We should do it again for the whole day. My favorite part was when Brett had to pay me 15 coins!!!!!

My most favorite part of the hole year was having Mrs.Preston as my teacher. I liked how you always helped me thought all my hard times with reading,math,writting,and also science. The other reason is that she handled everything so well on like conserns. She also made gmes fun when she played with use. So that is what I was looking back at.

My favorite part of the year was when we did tax day. I loved tax day so much it was so fun. I thought it was really unfair when every time Hannah did points we had pay her a bunch of pents. It was really funny when we had to pay 2 pents just to go to science and you had to pay 3 pents for going to lunch. I wish we could do that again year in 6th grade. I want Miss Preston again for 6th I will be so happy if I get her again.

the mist exicting thing we have done this year is do the bottle rockets. They were so fun! I enjoyed seeing all the bottles go flying in the air. Also, I liked all the passes! I wish I could be doing the easy math agiN TO be like thos is so easy. I hoped you all liked this year too. Lastley, i didn't know I could be so funny and laughable!!! bhahahah:)

The most mind blowing thing we've done is the bottle rockets. The 2nd most mind blowing thing I've done this year is the A.R. points i got. I have 78 points!!! Another ting is the challenger space center it was so cool and fun. The last mind is the blowing thing we,ve done was the boston market we had with are buddies.

The most mind blowing thing this year for me was when I found I got Ms. Preston because this is the first year I have gotten a teacher I wanted! Something that was also amazing memorie was when we did the bottle rockets. I just love watching them fly up into the air. But most of all my favorite memorie is Ms. Preston (You rock ms P.).

The most mind blowing thing this year for me is haveing miss.preston as my tearcher. Being new I wonderd if my tearcher would be niice and she was. she was the best tearcher i could of ever gotten! I wish i could be at tax day though. Another thing i liked is doing all thowes chemicals!!! the coolade didnt even evaperate yet!

The most mind blowing thing this year was when I was supposed to get Mrs. Wells. Surprisingly My mom requested her because my sister had her and she said that I should have Ms Preston. For people who said that you can't request a teacher you can. I wish that we could do tax day again. I loved how Ms Preston was so mean.:) I amazed my myself when I got my AR goal when it was really high like up past the 40s.(It's surprising to me maybe not you)

My favorite part of the year was tax day!!!I liked tax day because we did not have to do any work!!Another reason I liked tax day was because it was a surprise and we got a little taste of what it was like back then.I thought it was really unfair that they got taxed for things that they could not help.I am so happy that things have changed!!!!!!!I mean that would be tareable always having to worrie about being taxed and not having any money left to buy food and thing you need to live.

The most interesting thing we have done is the Challenger Space Center because we had to work as a team no matter where you were. What really blew my mind away was Tax Day because it was fun but at times annoying. It taught us though how it felt to live back then with King George taxing the Americans. I really wish we could do it again. I amazed myself by almost getting 6,000,000 words read this year. The Challenger field trip and Tax Day are two events I will remember for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe most interesting thing we have done in fifth grade is Tax Day. It really described how the colonists felt of King George III. I was a patriot on Tax Day because I was unfairly getting money taken away. If we do Tax Day another time, I will be prepared! The most exciting thing we have done is Challenger Space Center because it made you feel like real astronauts and people in mission control. Assembling the probe was fun and mission control was cool to because you relay messages to the crew onboard the shuttle. The thing that surprised me the most this year is I finished a Lord of the Rings book and read over one million words!

Something I remember from the school year is the kindness retreat. I would do this again because I thought it was really fun and exiting. My favorite thing we did was eating pizza. :-] I also liked going to the Halle Heart place. I would totally go there again. It was more fun than I thought it would be. Only if we had pizza.

Oh... there was so many awesome things we did this year! I really liked Tax Day, because I had to become a beggar and I couldn't choose a side between the Patriots and the Loyalists. A also liked the Bottle Rockets. My Honeywell Manager dad came in and helped our group. With my dad's help, our group's rocket was without a doubt the best. I also liked watching people's Asia commercials. This year was so fun!

I think the most exciting thing we've ever done this year was... Get Miss Preston as our teacher! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! YOU RULE, Miss Preston!!! My second favorite thing this year was the Challenger Space Center field trip. I liked it because my job was with my really good friends, Kara H. and Brett. Also I learned that many emergencies can happen on a space shuttle, more than you think. Tax day was also REALLY cool because we had to use our "money" responsibly. I had a really great year.

I think the most exciting thing this year was the challenger space center field trip. I totally wish we could all go again but I want to stay com and in the conrol place. I will really miss this class and school year. Ms. Preston, I hope I get you next year. I didn't think that I would be able to have such an amazing class. I t was so much fun. ReplyDeleteI am going to miss this year a lot ! Not just the year but the classmates and most of all the funniest best amazing teacher of the whole wide world! This year has been my favorite most memorable year ever! I have gotton closer with many classmates and feel like my teacher is my friend and i could invite her over to my house! This year Miss. Preston has not only made us classmates but she has made us a family . You might think this is crazy but its true, last year a girl hated me and was very mean to me but this year she is one of my best friends! I think this happened because Miss.Preston made us a family! I can not only say one of my favorites because there are a ton! There is stuff from cracking jokes with Miss.Preston to going on feild trips or playing bump out!I loved this year and i hope all my classmates did too!I am going to really miss you Miss.preston!

The most exciting thing I've done the whole year is get to know Miss P. At the night where we meet the teachers, I knew it was going to be a fun year when I met Miss P. She was (and still is) one of the most kind, helpful, and caring teachers I have ever met. I don't think I will vever get to meet a teacher like her. Except for next year because I sm going to have her a again for some of my subject in 6th grade next year. But the most fun activity we've done this year is do experiments in science with Miss P. because it's (and was) really fun listening to "Shake Your Booty" when we evaporate the chemicals. I will miss Miss P. and seeing my friends everyday. I can't wait to see mostly everyone next year!

One thing that i remember from the school year was when we did the bottle rockets i would do this againg because of how such of a great activity to participate in. Another reason is because when we first had to set up our plan we all really had to work togather as a great team to see how high our rocket would launch. Another reason is because of how we got to go outside enjoy watching everyone launch their rockets sky high.the final reason is because of how we got to do the activity by having fun and watching everyone try their best at trying to get their rocket to go the highest as possible. If you want to know my least favorite event of the year was........... TAX DAY.

The best thing we have done so far is learning about the fifth grade play and Miss Preston. I think the fifth grade play because its so much fun learning the dances'. What I think is great about Miss Preston is that she trys to make everything fun and fair. Its so cool that we all kind of get a part in the fifth grade play if you tryed out. Trust me trying out isn't as easy as it seems. The cool thing about trying out is, even if you mess up you will still get a part in the play. What I also like about Miss P. is if she gets a treat and she she doesn't want it, she doesn't say no but she pulls sticks to see who wants it. She also is very helpful for those who want to get their a.r. gaol done. Its great that I have a teacher like her around. Can't wiat for next year. I also can't wait for the fifth grade play I can bearly type. I love the fact that are teachers would go through all the work and make up these kinds of things for us. It's been a wonderful year!!!!

I wish we could do Tax Day again. It was fun and taught us how hard it was for the colonists to pay their taxes. I will remember all the students protesting and saying that you could not tax them for things like if they have glasses or not. Even though I was a loyalist to the queen, I think you taxed us on just about anything!
