Winter Break

With the winter break fast approaching, what are you most excited about? Does your family have any specials plans for the break? What do you most enjoy about this time of year (besides having time off of school)? Is it spending time with family and friends, it is just hanging out, or is there something that your family always does during the break.

Please share with your classmates and make sure that you have at least 6 sentences in your response.

  1. I am most exited for visting my family! We are going to have are family from Europe and Michigan come and visit. I haven't seen them in a year! I enjoy the weather the most this time of year because it's rainy and cold. Which I am exited about because it doesn't rain in Texas . . . EVER!
I also can't wait to watch people open their gifts and look at their faces. I am the one who wraps all of the presents, it takes a long time, but at least I know what everone is getting!

  2. I am most excited about christmas! I am most excited about christmas because I like to open presents on christmas morning, I like decorating the tree, and making christmas cookies. I am excited about sleeping in instead of waking up at 7:00 a.m and staying up late! I'm going to enjoy the weather because most of the year in arizona it's really warm and I like the cold a lot better. The last thing i'm excited about is relaxing and playing my video games. That's why I enjoy winter break!

  8. What I am going to do over Winter break:

For the first few days of Winter break I just chill.( :)HA(: ) Then, on Christmas Eve most of my family comes over and we have dinner together and my cousin and I open some of our presents together. My Grandma and Grandpa spend the night at my house. Usually I wake up at about 3 or 4 am and open one small present. Then I go back to sleep. On Christ mas morning I act like a person who has NO money AT ALL that just won the 500,000,000 $ lottery! (a.k.a. crazy)

  9. For winter break I don't really do anything since I celebrate Hanukkah. One of our traditions on Christmas is to go out to eat at a Chinese restaurant called Jade Palace. That's one of my favorite parts and another favorite is the weather! I love the rain and the cold weather since I used to live in Chicago and it would always be cold and rain there but in Arizona.... NOTHING at all! On winter break I pretty m, much hang out with friends and have family time and watch Christmas movies! (Totally normal for a Jewish person...!). I love celebrating Hanukkah also! I just love the winter in general!

  12. My favorite part of winter break is that some of my family is coming to town. I am so excited, and I cannot wait to see them. When they get here, I hope that we will play video games right away. Hopefully, we will go to somewhere where there is snow so we can have a snowball fight. I also look forward to spending Christmas Day with all of my family members. I hope that I get the presents that I want.

  13. My family has a special plan going to Japan for two weeks. This will be the first time in 6 months for me going back to Japan. I'm so excited about having a ride on an airplain. I'm also excited about seeing my Japanese friends. My family will stay with my grandfather at the first day of the year, "Shogatsu" in Japanese. I will eat rice cakes, or "Mochi" and other delicious food. I wants to eat good ramen at a noodle shop close to my house in Japan.

    1. I am most excited for to Christmas and being able to spend time with my brother. He works a lot because he used to have three jobs but quit 2, and got a new job at the restraunt in the Princess. My family does not have plans. But this Christmas is a sad and special one. This is my brothers last Christmas before he goes on a 2 year mission for my religion. I mostly enjoy spending time with family and celebrating Christ's birth. I can't decide if I like giving or getting. Well I love both!!

  16. I'm really excited about christmas. My family doesn't have any plans for winter break. Me and my family are just going to have a regular christmas at home. On winter break, I'm just going to sit in front of the fire, roasting smores. I'll also have a nice time decorating the christmas tree. So, I don't have any special plans, but I'm most definately excited!

  17. For Christmas break, we don't really have anything planned. My family and I are just having Christmas at home. Every Christmas we just get up, open presents, and then we usually go over to my Grandma's house and open presents. Before we open presents we eat breakfast and take pictures. This year my Grandma is out of town, so we are going to have Christmas at home. Then in January, we are going to have another Christmas with my Grandma and open more presents and have Christmas dinner at her house. I can't wait!

  20. For Christmas I might be with my mom. Also, my grandma and grandpa will come and celebrate with us (my grandpa is flying in to Arizona from ALASKA). There is also a chance I will be with my dad for Christmas, although I want to be with my mom for Christmas. I think I'm doing the same thing with both families, being together as a family and opening presents. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  21. Well, their may be a lot of things that are really fun coming up. Like Christmas. But every year we head up to Utah to shred down the mountains of snowbird. After Christmas is when we take the trip up. We stay at my Dad's grandma's house when were there. We go every year it's a great family tradition. And a great way to see my family.

  23. Well I'm most exited for this coming week because it's Christmas!!! I'm also exited for this Saturday because we are opening presents on my dad's side of the family. I don't really know why we open it early. It's probably because on Christmas day we open our present's and play with them the rest of the day. So we don't have time too go to my dad's side of the family, wells because I just told you. I most enjoy the cold because I hate hot. Never liked it. We don't have any other plans after all the other ones so we just see what comes and goes!!!

  24. Really, I have no plans for Winter Break but I am excited for Christmas. The first reason why I'm excited for the break is because Christmas, which is when everyone is their happiest. when my family and I are always the happiest. Also that's when you get things, but that's not important. I'm very happy that since the world is not ending, I can get into the Christmas spirit! But I do plan on just doing fun things with m family, not sure what though... Anyways Merry Christmas to all!

  25. My plans for winter break are going skiing in flagstaff, although this year. Might not go because we want to go to Europe over the summer. We also have a Christmas party at my house. I'm mostly excited about Christmas because some people that are coming I haven't seen in a while. I'm also excited about what my dad is going to make. Every year, we kind of have a tradition to have some weird food for dinner. Last year it was purple potatoes and purple mashed potatoes. We also have a tradition every year to go to a restaurant on Christmas Eve.
