Explorers!!!!!!
Of all the explorers that we just finished studying about, who was your favorite explorer?
Why did you enjoy that explorer so much? What did he do that was so impressive?

My favorite one is Juan. I like how he searched for many things. Mostly the fountain of youth. I think the fountain of youth was a hard thing to look for. I also like the passages he chose to take and how he just went for it. I like Juan Ponce de Leon the most. Maya#12
My favorite explore is Vasco Da Gama. I love that he traveled a lot and did not give up his courage. I think that he was a great man and that he had a good life to live. I liked that anything that got in his way did not block him. The sad thing is that he had a rough childhood and his brother died. I liked that he went to Africa and was the first person to reach The Cape Of Good Hope that would have been hard. Thats why I like Vasco Da Gama.
My favorite explorer was Vasco Da Gama. The reason I like this explorer is because he sailed all the way from Portugal to the Cape of Good Hope. He was fun to learn about where he had traveled. He was the only explorer to die of old age. Also Vasco Da Gama died on Christmas Eve. This is why I like Vasco Da Gama. # 11
My favorite explorer is Juan Ponce de Leon. Juan Ponce de Leon is my favorite explorer because he was looking for the Fountain of Youth. He also sailed for Spain and was in the army. His favorite journey was going to Mexico and he sailed with Christopher Columbus on his second expedition. Two more facts about him are that he found the Gulf Stream and he discovered Florida. Those are some reasons why Juan Ponce de Leon is my favorite explorer.
My favorite explorer is Francicso Vaquez De Cornado. He is my favorite explorer because he found the Grand Canyon. He also sailed for a very popular country for explorers to sail for, Spain. Also he was in the south west states and so that would mean he was in Arizona. My 5th reason is because he was in the Seven cities of Cibola. He also was brave enough to go sailing to the U.S.. That's why I picked Francisco Cornado.

Thanks to him but if he hadn't discover the Grand Canyon some one else would. When he was traveling he was at the south west area we call the USA today. And that's my favorite explore.

I enjoyed learning about 11 amazing explorers. But only one can be my most favorite. It is a tough choice. The lucky explorer is Henry Hudson. There is one main reason why I chose Henry Hudson. Because he was the explorer I was assigned to do for our projects. Kaylee or 14
I had a hard time choosing. For me it has to be Henry Hudson. I learned about him with Kaylee and Aiden. I saw how his crew rose up against him and made him die. He had a park, a river, and the most ginormous bay named after him. The Hudson bay is so big it shows up on a global map. #24
I liked Sir Fransis Drake because he was England's greatest hero. He had a good reputation and a real help defeating Spain. He was a great captain and a wealthy man. I think it was kinda cool that he was a pirate. That's why I like him. #20
My favorite explorer is Sir Francis Drake.He is my favorite because he was very wealthy and I would want to see what he did with his money.Also because he traveled around the world.I wonder how long it took to sail that far.When he was in piracy I thought that was pretty cool.Sir Francis Drake probably had a lot of fans back then.
My favorite Explore was Francisco Pizarro. I really want to travel with Francisco because i want to join the crew. I could meat his wife. but he has no kids. I kind of want to go to Spain. That's why i like him. #27
I would want be Sir Francis Drake. He is my favorite because if I were him I would be really wealthy. The funny thing about him is he died of a very sad death infectious diarrhea. Would you want to die by diarrhea. His life was kind of on the run because he stole a lot of money from their own people. Thats why would want to be Sir Francis Drake
My favorite explorer was Francisco Coronado because after all he is the one whom discovered the Grand Canyon which is pretty impressive considering the Grand Canyon has a large string of history attached to it. He is also my favorite explorer because he was searching for and thought he found the seven cities of gold even though they never really existed in the first place. Another reason Francisco Vaquez de Coronado is my favorite explorer is because he is the second oldest in his family just like me. The last reason Fransisco Coronado is my favorite explorer is because I just like his name. That is why my favorite explorer is Francisco Coronado. #13 Nate
My favorite explorer was Sir Francis Drake. I thought it was cool that he traveled all around the world. I also thought it was weird that he died of infectious diarrhea. I didn't like that he was involved with piracy and he stole money from people. I was impressed that he survived all of his voyages. That is why I like Sir Francis Drake.
Francisco Coronado was my favorite explorer because he found the Grand Canyon. That is mainly because I like him. He also died on my cousins Birthday. That is cool. I also like him because he is a great influence. That is why I he is my favorite explorer. #16
My favorite explorer to learn about Juan Pounce De Leon. I loved learning about him because he was interesting and awesome. He was my favorite to learn about because he accomplished many things from finding Florida to being in the army and helping the country. He makes it sound like you can accomplish many things and it's all easy! Juan Pounce De Leon was a good influence on other explorers to keep on pushing and eventually I bet you will find a state or important place/thing! Pounce was my explore and I am very happy with who I got even though at first I wasn't sure in the end it all turned out great! This explains exactly why I Juan Pounce De Leon was my favorite explore to learn about! #8
My favorite explorer was Fransisco Coronado. He is my favorite because without him, he wouldn't have discovered the south western states, where we live. He also discovered the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is now also a great part of history and one of the seven wonders of the world. He was also brave enough to go and try to find the Seven Cities of Cibola (Gold) That is why it is my favorite.

I liked Sir Francis Drake. Yes he stole but does not mean he is not a hero. I like him but I also like Marco Polo. I don't know if he counts or if we have to do those 11 explores. I also like Sir Francis Drake because he traveled a lot and I also loved to travel. I think Henry Hudson was interesting to. He discovered the a bay known as the Hudson Bay and a a river known as the Hudson River (how smart are they). I hope to learn more about explorers. #25

My favorite explorer is the one I studied, and that is Hernando de Soto. He was pretty cool because he was the first European to cross the Mississippi River. I feel bad for the guy though because he thought the river would lead to the ocean, which it did not. He traveled over 1400 miles for nothing. He was also from Spain, which is a place I would like to visit sometime. Out of all the explorers we learned about, he is my favorite.
My favorite explorer was Vasco de Gama. My favorite explorer was Vasco de Gama was well first he was the explorer I did for my project. But also I thought he was the most exiting to learn about. If I were to choose another explorer it would be Drake because diareah. But Vasco de Gama was awsome because he was the first person to reach the cape of good hope. # 1A.K.A they cool guy.
My favorite explore was Jaques Cartier. Cartier is my favorite explore because I studied him. Also he discovered Newfoundland in Canada. He was also one of the people to go looking for the northwest passage but we now I dose not exist. He also found the st Lawrence river. These are some reason he was my favorite explore we studied. My favorite explore is Sir Fransic Drake. I picked him because he was involved in piracy. Not only did he do piracy the queen liked him. To me that's a big deal. What is crazy he preaty much wen't around the earth. Then what made me laugh was that he died because of infectches diarea.

My favorite explorer was Jacques Cartier. I liked him because he found Newfoundland. I have always wanted to go there. He also found the St. Lawrence River. He was and still is the father of Canada. I like Canada because of it's rich maple syrup. I love maple syrup! #33 Carl Wolpert
