The Winter Olympics are finally underway. It is a great time of the year for athletes to showcase all of their hard work and dedication toward their sports.
What is your favorite sport to watch during the Winter Olympics? Has it already been on T.V. or is it going to be later in the Olympics? Has there been anything that has really caught your eye or been really disappointing to see?

My favorite winter sport is men's ice hockey. It hasn't started yet.I haven't really started watching the Olympics yet. My brother likes to watch the snowboarding. My mother likes the figure skating like every other girl I know. My dad likes hockey like me. I like rooting for the other countries because it annoys my parents. I am glad the Olympics is every four years and not every year. #11
ReplyDeleteMy favorite event is women's figure skating. I think that it is very cool to see all of the tricks that they can do on ice. I also love the super cute outfits that they get to wear. It has already been shown, but I don't know if there is any more or not. I don't really like ice hockey though. Regular hockey is on T.V. all the time and there is not a big difference between the two of them.

My favorite event is the figure skating. I love the triple axles and all of the other tricks and flips. I adore all the pretty dresses that they wear. I bet they get really cold. I know it has already shown. I think it will show again. I felt bad when a Japanese girl fell during a twist, but she recovered quickly.

My favorite thing in the Olympics is figure skating. I really like that because I think it is very pretty. I thought that the American team was a very good team and I loved how they worked so well together and I thought it flowed beautifully. I also liked the Russian girl and how she was only 15. She inspired me a lot that I could be and do what ever I wanted. That is what I like about the Olympics.

My favorite event is women's ice skating. Cause it is so much fun to skate cause I learned how to skate since the kindergarten. It is so much fun to do it. I liked the girl skating to the Phantom of the Opera it was beautiful and it looked so hard. I am also looking forward to the upcoming women's skating event. Ice Skating is the best, most wonderful thing I have watched in the Olympics.

My favorite event in the olympics is the freestyle snowboarding.Its so cool how the men do all the crazy flips.I look forward to seeing it.I can skateboard but I don't think I can snow board it looks very hard...MICAH 21

My favorite sport is pair skating because I like seeing people ineract together and how the form moves. It has already been on TV and it is really cool. Pair skating is scored by if you get a higher judge ranking. It is my favorite because I skate and I want to be like them.

My favorite event is snowboarding. The reason I like snowboarding is because I snowboard every year in Telluride, Colorado. Boarding has already been on this year. I really like Shawn White because he takes it safe and he has been boarding for a long time just like me. His moves are awesome to. So this is why I like boarding the best in the Olympics.

My FAVORITE event in the Olympics is Figure skating. I like to see how their dances are and how they added couples skating. Go USA! The couples skating is pretty awesome, every country was great. My favorite ice skater was from Russia. She wore the prettiest red coat I have ever seen. I have already seen some of the ice skaters but after a while it would get boring so I would go play with my cousins. I would be an ice skater if I had to choose to own 1 block of GOLD. That's what I choose what about you?

My favorite event is ski jumping. I like it because they go really far and high in the air. I don't know if they are going to fall in the jump so I get really scared. I like their cool uniforms. I also like to see the designs on their skis.I really like ski jumping because it is what i'm doing my project on.

If I had to pick a favorite event in the winter Olympics I would have to choose figure skating! I like figure skating because it is so cool to see just what you can do on ice! I am pretty sure it has already been shown this year! It is interesting to see all of the spins, jumps, and twists they can do! Figure skating is a hard skill to do because it is hard enough to just skating back and fourth on a regular day basis then just imagine! I love figure skating and this explains why! #8

Also it is very fun to watch. It really hard to skate to me but for them it seems so easy. This is why I would choose figure skating.

ReplyDeleteI like skating the most because my dad used to skate, my uncle used to skate and even I skate. I also like skating because it's really cool to watch people do awesome tricks and stunts. Or even just skate around. I even like watching them miss, not to be mean, by I actually think it's cool how they don't just give up on skating. I really hope I get to see new things at the winter Olympics. Like a 1080, one of the hardest tricks in the world. and if not, the hardest. Or even just a varial or 360 or a kickflip or something. But as long as I get to see some tricks I'm happy. That is why skating is my favorite sport to watch at the winter Olympics. Nate #13

But if I had to guess I would say curling because it is cool! Also I think freestyle skiing is cool too! So as I have said I don't have cable but still know some things about the Olympics.

That's funny thing that you chose this as blog because, I am watching the winter Olympics right now. Though I would choose ice skating. My reason for that is because, I think its cool how they jump and flip in the air. Skaters make it look so easy to do. I have never gone skating but I bet that if I did I would fall on my butt. It makes me wonder how much training it would take a person that just started learning to skate win the Olympics. Oh well then that is what I would say and choose. $helbi 22

I think that figure skating is a beautiful event in the Olympics because of all the amazing things they are capable of doing while ice skating. It looks so magnificent and is fun to watch. It's obvious that they put a lot of time, effort and dedication into what they do. I honestly believe they all deserve gold medals for their work. The Olympics is such an astonishing competition where people get to show their unique skills and capabilities in different events. Out of all of the winter contests I think that figure skating is definitely one of my favorites.

I really like watching the snowboarding. The snowboarding is very cool and makes me stand up on the tip of my toes. Its very cool because like you know we live in the USA I vote for the USA. I like watching people jump high and land it or if they fail it kinda stinks. I feel bad because they ruined it for their country. The snowboarding is my favorite.

The winter Olympics are beginning. Even though I enjoy all of them one of them stands out to me. That sport is figure skating. It is amazing to watch the skaters glide gracefully along the ice. I also like speed skating. It is hard to believe that they can go that fast. I like skiing too.

I like hockey the best. Because I like skating but only skating is not fun. When you add a puck and a hockey stick is more fun. You try to hit the puck to the net. I think is really hard to do that, because the net is small and there is a person that is guarding it. If there is no person guarding it, it won't be fun. That is why I like hockey the best

Well,I don't really watch the Olimpics. That means I don't know much about sports or the Olimpics. I'd say my favorate sport to see is figer skating. I'm not sure if the teams were broudcasted on TV or not or if some of them FAILED or not. I've seen some of the pictures of this sport on the internet. The only problem is that it might be from 2006 or something. Yet again I know NOTHING about the Olimpics. I'm also not that intrested.

I like figure skating or snowboarding there both rely fun to watch. I like figure skating because its fun to see how each person skates their own way. I love watching the half pipe snowboarding. I love watching the half pipe snowbaording because I love watching the cool tricks they do. Also I love watching it because it's one of the fastest sports to watch. I hope next time the USA wins because they did not win becasue shoan white got fourth but I have faith in him for next time. Did you know the half pie in snow baoring is 150 meters long well it is I learnerd that because I'm doingthe snow boarding for my olimpic project. #1 Matt

My favorite Olympic Game is the short track speed skating. I have seen it a couple of times this Olympics. I like speed and lots of wipe outs. They wipe out a lot in short track speed skating. When I skate sometimes, I like to go from one end of the rink to the other as fast as I can until I cross a line and then I glide to the other end. My second favorite Olympic event is the alpine skiing. They go about 80 miles per hour at their fastest speed. That is really Fast!!!
